Eight years ago, Anita was inspired by a news story about Make-A-Wish India and its amazing concept. Since joining, she has found immense joy in witnessing the expressions of wonderment, happiness, and hope on the faces of wish children. Anita feels like a fairy with a magic wand, bringing dreams to life. One of her most memorable moments was when a wish child, who had recovered from his illness, recognized her after four years and proudly shared that he was now pursuing a makeup artist course. This experience highlighted the lasting impact of fulfilling wishes. Anita has seen firsthand how granting a wish can bring positive energy to a child, allowing them to forget about doctors, injections, and chemo, and simply be a child again. The parents share in this happiness, seeing the twinkle in their child’s eyes and the hope that childhood joys will always be nurtured. These experiences with Make-A-Wish India have made Anita’s volunteer work incredibly fulfilling.
