A journey from illness to aspiration

This heartwarming story is that of Kiran Kumar, whose life took a transformative turn. Kiran’s journey has been fraught with difficulties. Raised by a single mother who works as an agricultural labourer, Kiran and his two sisters have faced significant financial and emotional hardships. Kiran’s health issues, which required a year of intensive treatment, He was undergoing the treatment of Acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, left him with a weak immune system, making it impossible for him to attend school regularly. This period was incredibly tough for the family, with his mother falling into depression and everyone struggling to hold onto hope.

Despite these challenges, Kiran’s wish for a laptop was fulfilled and it became a turning point. This laptop was not just a device but a gateway to a new world of learning and opportunities. With the help of MS Word, Excel, and educational content on YouTube, Kiran was able to keep up with his studies from home. This invaluable tool allowed him to complete his education, pursue a diploma, and attend college during exams.

The impact of this support extends beyond Kiran’s academic achievements. It provided him with the means to continue his education independently, fostering a sense of self-reliance and hope. Kiran’s love for photography and his aspiration to enter politics are now within reach, thanks to wish granted during his most vulnerable times.

The Kumar family remains deeply grateful for his wish granted. Their intervention not only helped Kiran complete his education but also ensured that his dreams did not come to a halt due to his illness. The emotional and practical support provided during the family’s darkest hours has left an indelible mark. While Kiran is now cancer-free, the financial strain of ongoing hospital visits has left the family in debt.
