The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of India is dependent upon its volunteers to drive the wish process. Our divisions are always looking for volunteers to help in several areas, including: Wish granting (Visiting hospitals, Interacting with children who are suffering from life threating diseases and their parents and doctors)

The unique concept of fulfilling wishes of children who are suffering from tremendous physical and emotional turmoil, along with their family members has inspired us to join this foundation.Just to see a glowing smile on exceptionally depressing faces of these children is enough for us volunteers to continue with this foundation. A child coming from remote vicinity is so unexposed that even a doll or a cycle brings them immense joy which can be witnessed with broad smiles on their faces. These memoirs of contentment linger for a period and the child looks forward to meeting us frequently

I was touched by the thought that some organization was reaching out to those children who are suffering from life threatening illness, who had miniature or big wishes to be fulfilled and few of them may unfortunately not survive long. I passionately publicize for Make a Wish amongst friends and relatives. I enjoy every wish that I manage to fulfill. I love to watch the wondrous expression on the little ones faces when they get the unexpected. Each time I see a child going through so much pain but is so delighted when he/she gets her wish fulfilled that I feel blessed and humbled by the divine presence. I am glad to be the chosen one to do this noble deed.

An urge to contribute to our society and the inimitable concept of fulfilling wishes of children afflicted with life threatening illness is what attracted me to join this foundation. Helpfulness, total commitment and patience are the qualities, which helped me enjoy my work as a volunteer with this foundation. The satisfaction derived through my work as a volunteer is OVERWHELMING!! The smile on the little faces, the eagerness to talk about their inner most wishes, the joy and awe as their dreams come true are unforgettable experiences. As a volunteer I have also experienced the power of a wish fulfilled. It has helped me become more confident, able to face any challenge in life, interact with all kinds of people and understand their problems. I am indebted to this foundation.
An imposing experience A 14 year old boy named Nitesh from Ranchi who had no hope of surviving became hale and hearty after he met his favourite idol Sharukh Khan. Today he is preparing for the IPS exams and is forever indebted to MAWF for his new lease of life. This really illustrate that wish fulfilled can give a child the willpower to fight and succeed against all odds."
